BIOGRAPHY
Undefeated Iranian Cruiserweight prospect Salar Gholami (4-0 2 KO’s) signed a multi-year promotional contract with Liveco Boxing in July, 2019. Originally from Tehran, Iran, Gholami now lives and trains in Toronto, ON.
As Captain of the Iranian National Boxing team, Salar Gholami, standing at 6′ 3″, competed in more than 300 amateur bouts and over 50 International Championship tournaments, winning numerous medals at the Asia Boxing Championships and AIBA World Boxing Championships.
Liveco Boxing CEO Denis Benoit describes Salar Gholami as a smart, naturally gifted boxer, who possesses the required drive and determination it takes to become a world champion. “Gholami is that rare combination of smarts and power,” he says. “He is the kind of boxer any promoter would love to have.”
“My dream has come true,” Gholami said. I cannot wait to showcase my skills in Canada and eventually, in the United States. My time is now, to go all in and achieve my goal of becoming the first Iranian Cruiserweight world champion,” added Gholami.
Managed by Gary Freedman, Gholami made his debut under the Liveco Boxing banner on September 14, 2019, in Brampton, ON, with a stunning first round knockout of Jose Mario Tamez.
On January 28, 2020, Salar Gholami dominated the very game Mateusz Kubiszyn on route to a four-round unanimous decision victory.
